I work in strategic communications for an NGO that sends humanitarian aid to the Middle East. Previously, I worked in project management for a Tokyo-based fashion company and in public relations for a multi-platform agency.

Below are some highlights of my work during the past 7 years:

Report Creation

I’ve written and designed more than 25 reports submitted to donors, funders, and other partners to communicate the impact of the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees.

Writing Articles & Op-Eds

I interviewed a Syrian immigrant family and wrote a story about refugee resettlement for Arab America. I also conducted research, took photographs, and created the graphics for the article. Click here to read it.

Development & Grant Writing

I supported the production of inquiry letters, proposals, and reports for various grants and donors for the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees. Notably, I managed all aspects of a grant from the Genesis Prize Foundation—the Jewish Nobel.

Consulting

At H.P. France Group, I consulted Lumine on a range of retail development and creative marketing projects. Lumine is a leading Japanese developer of full-service shopping centers in the Tokyo area with 16 centers and 2 million square feet of leasable space.

Brand Strategy

At PR01 agency, I created the pitch deck for Banana Republic Japan and presented the proposal to the Marketing VP. Our team created a brand strategy to reposition Banana Republic in the Japanese market as a lifestyle brand utilizing the identity of San Francisco.

The branding strategy included a subway ad campaign, a pop-up shop, and influencer marketing.

Website Design

I redesigned the website of the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees. I modernized the organization's brand in order to increase traffic and improve user experience.

Email Marketing

I’ve created email campaigns the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees, from donation appeals to monthly newsletters. In addition, I created reports to track campaign metrics and impact.

Video Editing & Production

I produced a video series for the Mutifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees highlighting refugee stories. I managed the overall production, including the video content/story, script, video editing, and creating the accompanying marketing material.

Public Relations

At PR01 agency, I worked with major editors like Kyle Anderson from Marie Claire and Lindsey Frugier from W Magazine during fashion week, escorting press to runway shows and to meetings with designers for placement of Japanese brands in U.S. press outlets.

Account Management

At H.P. France Group, I managed 6 brand accounts simultaneously for export distribution business from the U.S. to Japan. Notably, I managed export business for the luxury tea company Bellocq, coordinating between the account, marketing, and sales teams to grow business.
